Regeneration News brief: Carmarthenshire CC gives backing to retail development plans

Carmarthenshire County Council has given its backing to revised plans for a retail development on the site of Carmarthen's former cattle market. The seventh version of proposals for the site in two years has been approved in principle by the council. Previous proposals were rejected after local opposition to plans to move the market, but the latest scheme keeps the market virtually where it is. Other elements of the application include a multi-screen cinema, department store, bowling alley and shops.
