Outline plans for a business, industry and research and development centre at the Morlands site in Glastonbury have been approved by Mendip District Council. The South West of England Regional Development Agency's detailed proposals for site access road improvements have also been given the go-ahead. Offices, a combined services centre, an education and training centre, shops and childcare facilities are all likely to be built on the former tannery site.
