In Brief: Affordable homes across country

Around 67,000 affordable homes will be delivered across the country in a £3.5 billion two-year programme announced by the government this week. The funding has been allocated to the Housing Corporation's approved development programme and will be in addition to English Partnership's London Wide Initiative, which will provide 2,000 key worker homes across the capital over the next three years. Brownfield sites have been targeted for the initiative, which will include a mixture of housing tenures.
