BUSINESS BRIEF: The Halcrow Group appointed

The Halcrow Group has been appointed to carry out a feasibility study on the Forth and Clyde Canal and the Union Canal near Falkirk by British Waterways (BWS) Scotland. Halcrow will examine options for sustainable regeneration of the Tamfourhill industrial estate. Restoring the site is central to the BWS regeneration strategy and to Falkirk Council's local development plan. The study will also recommend development options for the canalside in and around the Falkirk Wheel, including putting forward a business case for moorings, basins and slipways.
