IN BRIEF: Birmingham ranked UK's most attractive city for shoppers

Birmingham has been ranked the UK's most attractive city for shoppers after London and Glasgow, according to a survey backed by the British Council of Shopping Centres. The research shows that England's second city has jumped ten places in the ratings because of investment in its Bullring shopping centre. London's West End remains the UK's most popular shopping destination. Newcastle, Brighton and Meadowhall all now feature in the league's top 20.
