Plans for a wind farm in north Devon are being debated at a public inquiry which started this week. The proposals are for three turbines on farmland at Higher Darracott, near Torrington. The wind farm would provide power for around 2,500 homes, but Torridge District Council has rejected the plans for the 80m turbines because they are visually obtrusive.
