REGENERATION NEWS: Reclamation work on contaminated site begins

Reclamation work on a 96ha contaminated site on the border of South Staffordshire and Wolverhampton began this week. The former chemical tip is being turned into an employment site at a cost of £64 million and is expected to create 6,700 jobs. The development is being led by regional development agency Advantage West Midlands in partnership with Wolverhampton City Council and South Staffordshire District Council. It is expected to open in summer 2008.
