IN BRIEF: Planning guides for Southampton city centre approved

Planning guides defining the future of Southampton city centre have been approved by the city council. The documents set out guidance for city centre design, development of the old town and improvements to the north-south spine, which links the city centre to the waterfront. Southampton City Council leader Adrian Vinson said: "These documents bring together ideas from the city design team and include views of residents, businesses and organisations with a direct interest in the city."
