IN BRIEF: Milton Keynes and South Midlands growth area holds first meeting

The body responsible for thrashing out the detail of the infrastructure and services needed for the Milton Keynes and South Midlands growth area held its first meeting last week. The Milton Keynes and South Midlands inter-regional board is chaired by regeneration minister Lord Rooker and includes representatives from councils, regional development agencies and local businesses. It agreed its terms of reference should be to lobby local and national investment programmes and focus on funding that cannot be secured by local delivery vehicles.
