REGENERATION NEWS IN BRIEF: Four council tower blocks in Blackley, Manchester ...

Four council tower blocks in Blackley, Manchester, are set for a £24 million transformation under plans unveiled by developer LPC Living last week. A planning application submitted to Manchester City Council outlines the company's intention to create more than 200 "city style" apartments in the blocks. A fifth block will be demolished and the four remaining will be linked by 30 town houses. A decision on the scheme is expected in March.
