NEWS IN BRIEF: A £79 million funding package ...

A £79 million funding package to regenerate Birmingham's Eastside area, believed to be the largest single regeneration project carried out by a regional development agency, was given the go-ahead by the government last week. The funds will ensure that the Advantage West Midlands scheme, covering 145,000 sq m in the city centre, includes a learning and leisure quarter as well as a technology park to serve Aston University.
