REGENERATION NEWS: Manchester businesses not taking advantage

Manchester businesses are not taking advantage of the potentially money-spinning ideas being generated by the area's higher education sector, according to latest research. A survey of local businesses carried out by the Manchester Investment and Development Agency Service finds that just 14 per cent work alongside further education establishments. The agency has urged local businesses to forge closer links with the city's four universities, which are attended by 85,000 students.
