Gove approves controversial office-led revamp of former ITV studios despite heritage harm

The housing secretary Michael Gove has approved controversial plans that were called-in 18 months ago for the office-led redevelopment of the former ITV studios on London’s South Bank, after finding that the scheme’s public benefits outweighed the harm to nearby heritage buildings.
