Legal Viewpoint: High Court dismisses Tottenham Hotspur’s challenge to development next to White Hart Lane

The High Court recently upheld the decision by Haringey Borough Council to grant planning permission for a major mixed-use development (including nearly 3,000 homes). It dismissed Tottenham Hotspur Limited’s challenge to the consent, which alleged a failure to adequately assess heritage impacts and a failure to lawfully apply the “agent of change principle” in respect of measures to address crowd control.
