Listed barn extension unnecessary to secure viable use

A proposal to convert listed stables and barns on the edge of a suburban village in Yorkshire to create three dwellings failed when an inspector found the extent of works to secure optimum viable use had not been justified and therefore there were no very special circumstances to permit the inappropriate green belt development.
