Starmer pledges to deliver 1.5m homes over next parliament and to revise planning guidance to boost social housing

The Labour leader has said the party would aim to deliver 1.5 million homes over a five-year period if elected and pledged to update planning guidance to make agreements between developers and councils more “robust” to boost social and affordable housing delivery.
