Council withdraws from 900 homes appeal after lawyers advise they cannot ‘defend the indefensible’

An East Sussex council has withdrawn from defending two planning appeals for applications totalling 900 homes, after being advised by legal experts that some of its grounds for refusal for the homes were "baseless" and they could not "defend the indefensible".
