Essex ‘special measures’ council announces fresh local plan delay

An Essex council which in February became first ever English local authority to lose planning powers for poor quality decision-making has announced a fresh delay to the production of its new local plan, pushing the likely adoption date of the new plan well beyond the government's December 2023 deadline.
