Seaside town votes for ‘primary residence’ restrictions on second homes

A referendum on the issue of second homes in a Yorkshire seaside town has come out overwhelmingly in favour of the introduction of new “primary residence” restrictions, but planners at the local borough council have given a cautious response to such proposals.
