Letter: Is the Planning Inspectorate being set up to fail?

Last week’s tightening of ministerial appeal decision targets were tough - 16 to 20 weeks for written representations (WRs) which form 94 per cent of appeal decisions. Future targets look to become even tougher, with the minister suggesting four to eight weeks, or faster, for “most” appeals (probably WRs).
