Second council backs huge ‘gigafactory’ on green belt airport site

A second local authority has approved outline plans for a huge “gigafactory” at Coventry Airport, after officers advised that, despite an objection from a parliamentary group over the loss of flying facilities, the scheme’s economic and employment benefits would outweigh harm to the green belt.
