Council approves 483-home shopping centre regeneration scheme

Wigan Council has approved its own joint venture plans for a mixed-use 483-home redevelopment of a shopping centre, after officers advised that the proposal would reduce “the reliance on retail development” to encourage visitors to the town centre.
