Surrey council proposes almost halving green belt release in revised draft of local plan

A Surrey council has published the final version of its draft local plan that nearly halves the amount of green belt release compared to the previous version and reduces the annual housing target by more than a fifth in an effort to conserve the district’s "distinctive landscape".
