Go-ahead for 50MW energy-from-waste facility on Notts green belt

Nottinghamshire County Council has granted permission for a 16,000 square metre energy-from-waste facility on green belt land, after officers advised that the scheme would provide carbon-reducing and economic benefits, while the proposed demolition of two cooling powers would improve green belt openness.
