Green light for 1,850 homes in historic Birmingham centre despite heritage harm

A mixed-use 1,850-home development in the industrial district around the former Bird’s Custard Factory in Birmingham has been granted permission, despite the provision of just four affordable homes and officers identifying harm to heritage assets.
