Plans approved for 1,280-home east London Tesco site redevelopment

Plans have been approved to redevelop a supermarket site in east London into a 1,280-home mixed use scheme, despite a recognition by officers that the building of a 12,400 square metre replacement Tesco store would "go beyond" the proposed 2,500 square metres of retail space envisaged for the site in the council's local plan.
