RTPI and TCPA blast government introduction of new town centre PD right

The government's decision to proceed with controversial plans to introduce a new permitted development (PD) right allowing a range of town centre uses to convert to residential use is "unfathomable" and risks creating "slum housing", two leading planning sector bodies have warned.
