Members refuse 93,000 sqm Greater Manchester green belt employment scheme against officer advice

Stockport Council members have refused plans for a 93,000-square-metre employment scheme on green belt land, contrary to a recommendation from planning officers who advised that the scheme's economic benefits would outweigh its "substantial" harm to the green belt.
