Shapps cancels Oxford-to-Cambridge 'expressway' once seen as key to one million homes vision

The proposed upgraded trunk road “expressway” linking Oxford and Cambridge, one of the original foundations of plans for a growth arc between the two cities to deliver one million homes by 2050, was yesterday cancelled by transport secretary Grant Shapps.
