Mining firm seeks judicial review of Cumbria council's move to reconsider mine approval

West Cumbria Mining (WCM), the company behind controversial plans for a deep coalmine near Whitehaven, has taken legal action against Cumbria County Council after it backtracked on the planning approval it previously gave the project.
