Green light for 8km Cumbria link road to unlock 10,000-home garden village

Plans for the new Carlisle Southern Link Road (CSLR), which aims to unlock a proposed 10,000-home garden village, have been approved by Cumbria County Council, after officers advised that the scheme would deliver a net gain in biodiversity and would have minimal visual impacts.
