Chief planner ‘strongly encourages’ councils not to slow down local plan work in response to white paper changes

Implementing the government’s proposed white paper planning changes “will take some time” and local authorities are "strongly" encouraged not to slow down or stop work on their local plans in the meantime, the new chief planner Joanna Averley has said.
