Major landscaping revision renders 167 dwelling scheme acceptable

A development of 167 dwellings has been approved on protected land on the edge of a town in Greater Manchester in a revision to a scheme previously refused on appeal. The inspector deemed the benefits of the scheme now outweighed the limited harm to the landscape character of the area in the NPPF tilted balance.
