Birmingham officer to set out the planning implications of council housebuilding at Planning's conference next week

A senior planning officer at a city council with its own social housing construction arm will lead a session on delivering public sector homes at next week's Planning for Housing conference.

Richard Cowell, assistant director, planning at Birmingham City Council, will speak at a session looking at best practice for councils looking to deliver more social homes.

Birmingham City Council has its own council house construction arm - the Birmingham Municipal Housing Trust.
