The conference is organised by Planning and takes place in central London on November 12.

Speakers at the event include two directors from digital modeling firm VU.CITY, Jason Hawthorne and Gordon Ingram.

They will speak at a session examining how planners can use big data sets to identify small sites for local plan making.

Another session will see Ian Rae, head of planning at the London Borough of Hackney, speak about integrating technology to enable planning officers to work more strategically.

Elsewhere, Scott Witchalls, director, transport and infrastructure at consultancy Peter Brett Associates, will speak at a session examining how emerging social, economic and technological trends are changing planning.
