Eclectic conservation area enables omnibus depot redevelopment

The redevelopment of a locally listed Victorian former depot for an office block of up to five storeys with flexible retail and café use at ground floor, but retaining the depot's facade, has been approved in a south-west London conservation area. The inspector found no harm to the appearance or character of the area, living conditions at neighbouring properties or highway and pedestrian safety. A similar scheme for an office use only building, again retaining the facade, was also approved.
