Inspector finds adverse effect on European sites

The regeneration of a hotel business through the sale of associated land for 200 new homes, a park and landscaping were refused on the Essex coast for harm to the appearance and character of the area, harm to the setting of a registered park and garden and conservation area not outweighed by the public benefits and harm from recreational pressure on protected European sites nearby.
