Natural greenspace held unsuitable despite lack of objection

A development of 80 dwellings and another for associated suitable alternative greenspace to mitigate for recreational pressure on a nearby special protection area in Berkshire were refused. The housing proposal was refused for adverse impacts on the appearance and character of the area and reliance of future residents on the private car to access everyday facilities, regardless of the efficacy of the development plan, and the SANG for its poor functionality.
