Go-ahead for Notts estate revamp despite council's reservations about affordable homes provision

Plans have been approved for the redevelopment of a 1960s housing estate at Newark in Nottinghamshire, despite the loss of part of an existing area of playing fields and a recognition from planners that the scheme's proposed level of affordable homes did "not represent the best case scenario".
