Waverley Council decided to adopted its CIL charging schedule at a meeting of their full council that was held on 31 October 2018. The levy will be charged from 1 March 2019.
Rates include:
- Three large residential development charging zones with rates of £395, 372 and £0 per square metre.
- Three small residential charging zones with rates of £452, £435 and £0 per square metre.
- Two retirement housing (with affordable housing) charging zones with rates of £118 and £100 per square metre.
- Two retirement housing (without affordable housing) charging zones with rates of £280 and £268 per square metre.
- Small convenience retail developments will be charged £75 per square metre.
- Supermarket retail developments will be charged £65 per square metre.
- Two charging zones for other retail developments with rates of £95 and £25 per square metre.
- No charge for all other uses.
