Planning Awards 2019 call for entries: housing categories

Have you or your team carried out high quality housing-related planning or placemaking work in the last year? If so, why not enter the Planning Awards? *DEADLINE EXTENDED TO FEBRUARY 7*

The awards feature several housing categories including: planning for affordable housing, best housing scheme of fewer than 500 homes, best housing scheme of 500 homes or more, and planning for increased housing delivery.

Judges for the affordable housing category will be looking for the team or project that can most clearly demonstrate how its professional planning work has helped to, or is likely to help to, increase provision of good quality housing at below market cost.

In the planning for increased housing delivery category, entries will need to clearly demonstrate how professional planning work has helped to increase the rate of delivery of new homes or the likelihood that the rate of delivery of such homes will increase in the future.

There are a total of 26 categories at the 2019 Planning Awards. Other categories include plan-making, neighbourhood planning, local authority planning team of the year, and planning permission of the year. Find a full list at planningawards.com.

The deadline for entries is 24 January. Entry costs £165 plus VAT if received by 20 December, £245 thereafter.
