Important notice: to all who have responded to our major permissions 2018 survey

Readers who have submitted responses to Planning's survey of the biggest planning permissions of the year are requested to check the email address to which they submitted the information, as some of our our communications about the survey contained a faulty email address.

The correct email addresses for responses to the report were biggestpermissions2018@gmail.com or planning@haymarket.com. Some of our communications incorrectly gave the email address biggestpermissions@gmail.com.

If you submitted a return to the survey, and have any doubt whether it was sent to the correct address, please resubmit it to biggestpermissions2018@gmail.com, copied to planning@haymarket.com.

Planning apologises for any inconvenience caused, and we have extended the survey deadline to Friday 30 November to allow readers time to resubmit entries.

BACKGROUND ON THE SURVEY

The survey will present information on the largest permissions given this year for various development types, briefly explaining what the permission comprises, who advised on the application and which local authority determined it.

If you have made or advised on a major application given permission or approved at appeal this year, or if your authority has granted such a permission, we would be very grateful if you could inform us about it (see the brief list of questions to address below).

To be eligible, projects must have been given full or outline planning permission (or a resolution to grant planning permission subject to the completion of legal agreements) between 1 Jan 2018 and 16 Nov 2018.

The development types on which we are gathering information via the online survey are:

- housing (permissions for 500 homes or more)
- retail and leisure (permissions for 10,000 sq m or more)
- commercial and industrial (permissions for 100,000 sq m or more)

The report will also include a section on the biggest infrastructure developments, which the Planning team will research separately.

Responses may be submitted by any employee, agent or representative or advisor of any organisation closely involved in applying for or granting permission for the scheme, or for granting permission, as long as it is vouched for by a named senior representative of the organisation submitting the response.
