MHCLG publishes series of updates to Planning Practice Guidance

Completely new guidance has been added on build to rent and plan-making.

Meanwhile, guidance has been updated for housing need assessment, housing and economic land availability assessment, local plans and neighbourhood planning.

The PPG updates come after the publication of the final revised National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) in July, which promised a plethora of changes to national guidance to reflect the new policies.

At the time, the MHCLG had only updated the PPG on viability assessments.
