SOS fully overturns previous refusal for 800 homes in Kent

The secretary of state has fully reversed a previous inspector's refusal for up to 800 homes in Kent in a post-minded decision letter following an earlier recovered appeal, despite continuing uncertainty over the funding of a local relief road. A hybrid application sought full permission to demolish three buildings, one of which was in a conservation area. It also included outline plans for a new neighbourhood including the 800 homes, commercial and community facilities, and supporting infrastructure.
