Go-ahead for 49.9MW solar farm despite loss of best agricultural land

Plans have been approved for a solar farm on a 97-hectare agricultural site in Lincolnshire in line with a recommendation from planners who concluded that a local policy setting out a presumption against solar schemes on the best and most versatile (BMV) agricultural land should not be read in its 'purest sense'.
