Selston Neighbourhood Development Plan - Plan adopted

The Selston neighbourhood development plan was made part of Ashfield District Council's local development framework on 7 November 2017.

The Selston neighbourhood plan was made by Ashfield District Council on 7 November 2017. The plan will inform the development of the Parish between 2017 and 2032.

In a referendum on whether Ashfield District Council should use the Selston neighbourhood plan there was a 86.3% vote in favour of using the plan. The refereendum was held on 12 October 2017 and had a turnout of 21.3%.

The Examiner's report on the Selston neighbourhood plan was issued to Ashfield District Council on 12 July 2017. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.

Selston Parish Council had submitted their draft neighbourhood plan to Ashfield District Council who publicised the plan for a consultation that took place between 28 April 2017 and 12 June 2017.

Selston Parish Council had published its pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a consultation that took place between 6 July 2016 and 12 September 2016.

The application from Selston Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Ashfield District Council on 12 December 2013.
