The Long Wittenham neighbourhood plan, which went to a referendum in early September, registered a 64.7 per cent turnout, albeit with a small electorate of 698.
In west London, the Central Ealing neighbourhood plan last week registered a turnout of 17.2 per cent in its poll of local residents, based on a much larger electorate of around 16,500.
Turnout figures at other recent referendums fall between the two levels.

Buckinghamshire: The Long Crendon Neighbourhood Plan was made by Aylesbury Vale District Council on 5 October. The plan was approved by a referendum on 7 September and will inform development of the parish up to 2033.
REFERENDUM RESULTS
Wiltshire: A referendum held on 20 September on whether Wiltshire Council should make the Bradford-on-Avon neighbourhood plan received a 'yes' vote of 94.7 per cent, on a 33 per cent turnout.
Hampshire: A referendum held on 14 September on whether Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council should make the Whitchurch neighbourhood plan received a 'yes' vote of 92.7 per cent, on a 28.2 per cent turnout.
London: A referendum held on 12 October on whether Ealing Council should make the Central Ealing neighbourhood plan received a 'yes' vote of 92.2 per cent, on a 17.2 per cent turnout. The plan was also backed by 91.5 per cent of local firms.
Oxfordshire: A referendum held on 7 September on whether South Oxfordshire District Council should make the Long Wittenham neighbourhood plan received a 'yes' vote of 92 per cent, on a 64.7 per cent turnout.
