Harworth and Bircotes Neighbourhood Development Plan - Plan adopted

The Harworth and Bircotes neighbourhood development plan was made part of Bassetlaw District Council's local development framework on 3 December 2015.

Bassetlaw District Council decided to make the Harworth and Bircotes neighbourhood plan part of its local development framework on 3 December 2015. The plan will inform the development of the Town up to 2028.

In a referendum on whether Bassetlaw District Council should use the Harworth and Bicotes neighbourhood plan there was a 85.5% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 3 December 2015 and had a turnout of 13.5%.

The Examiner's report on the Harworth and Bircotes neighbourhood plan was issued to Bassetlaw District Council on 5 October 2015. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.

Harworth and Bircotes Town Council had submitted its draft neighbourhood plan to Bassetlaw District Council who publicised the plan for a consultation that took place between 17 June 2015 and 31 July 2015.

Harworth and Bircotes Town Council had published its pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a previous round of consultation that took place between 29 September 2014 and 10 November 2014.

The application from Harworth and Bircotes Town Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Bassetlaw District Council on 27 June 2013.
