North Kesteven District Council decided to make the Welbourn neighbourhood plan part of its local development framework on 17 December 2015. The plan will inform the development of the Parish up to 2030.
In a referendum on whether North Kesteven District Council should use the Welbourn neighbourhood plan there was a 88.4% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 19 November 2015 and had a turnout of 48.7%.
The Examiner's report on the Welbourne neighbourhood plan was issued to North Kesteven District Council in September 2015. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.
Welbourn Parish Council had submitted their draft neighbourhood plan to North Kesteven District Council who publicised the plan for a consultation that took place between 3 July 2015 and 14 August 2015.
Welbourn Parish Council had published their pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a previous round of consultation that took place during January and February 2015.
The application from Welbourn Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by North Kesteven District Council on 11 January 2013.
