Coton Forward Neighbourhood Development Plan - Plan adopted

The Coton Forward neighbourhood development plan was made part of Rugby Borough Council's local development framework on 8 December 2015.

Rugby Borough Council decided to make the Coton Forward neighbourhood plan part of its local development framework on 8 December 2015. The plan will inform the development of Coton Park up to 2026.

In a referendum on whether Rugby Borough Council should use the Coton Forward neighbourhood plan there was a 93.3% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 8 October 2015 and had a turnout of 25.3%.

The Examiner's report on the Coton Forward neighbourhood plan was issued to Rugby Borough Council on 16 January 2015. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.

Coton Forward neighbourhood forum had submitted their draft neighbourhood plan to Rugby Borough Council who publicised the plan for a consultation that took place between 24 October 2014 and 5 December 2014.

Coton Forward neighbourhood forum had published their pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a previous round of consultation that took place between February and April 2014.

The application from Coton Forward neighbourhood forum to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Rugby Borough Council on 6 February 2013.
